Cocktail Ingredients:

• 1½ oz (4½ cl) Brandy
• 1 oz (3 cl) Syrup, Gomme
• 4 oz (12 cl) Champagne
• ¾ oz (2¼ cl) Lemon Juice

Accessories:

• Bar Spoon
• Cocktail Shaker
• Cocktail Strainer
• Measuring glass or jigger
• Speed pourers

Steps

• Pour the brandy, simple syrup and lemon juice into a shaker with ice.
• Shake well.
• Strain into a collins glass ice.
• Top off with champagne.
• Stir and serve.

The French 75 cocktail was named after the French artillery piece that bombarded the Germans in World War I. The original French 75 recipe called for gin, but came into popularity using brandy.
